Finding a watch face
Rails, search filters, and a chip for every complication you care about.
About 3 minutes
On your phone, the Discover tab leads with a featured face and a set of rails you can scroll sideways through: New this week, faces with four or more complications, faces that are free to start, and Most Loved (once a face has picked up a couple of likes).
The Search tab is where the real filtering lives, since the phone has a keyboard:
- A text search box.
- Style chips: Analog, Digital, Hybrid.
- Shows chips: heart rate, weather, step count, battery, moon phase, two or more complications, custom colors, a photo background. These come straight from what a face actually does, not from marketing copy. If a face is tagged "heart rate," it genuinely shows your heart rate.
- Price chips (Free, Coins, or Yours already) so you can see only free faces, only paid ones, or the ones you already own.
On your watch, there's no search box or tab bar. Instead you scroll vertically through one face at a time, shown as a large round preview so you can judge what it actually looks like before tapping in for details.
A face is judged by looking at it. On a round screen, a round preview at real size tells you more than a small rectangular thumbnail ever could.
